Students at Ark Elvin Academy in Brent received a special visit from LA-based meditation guru Dora Kamau and received a world-class lesson in meditation.
Dora, lead meditation teacher for Headspace visited Ark Elvin Academy to deliver the assembly for 210 year 10 students.
The live meditation session was facilitated by The Raheem sterling Foundation and Headspace through our partnership and Raheem’s ambassadorship with the global mindfulness app.
Raheem is a firm believer that meditation is good for the body and soul, helping to stay focused and on form. Through the work of the Foundation, he aspires to give more young people access to meditation and highlight its benefits.
A video of Dora and Raheem was played to the students introducing the session before a short, guided mediation class and Q&A.

This meditation experience comes before an upcoming project this Spring between Ark Elvin, The Raheem Sterling Foundation, and Headspace. Thanks to the partnership, the school is in the progress of having its very own bespoke meditation space built in the school to give students and teachers a unique and dedicated space to practice the art of meditation.
