The Promise Foundation

The Promise Foundation was inspired by a mentoring relationship that transformed an individual’s life.

That individual, who came from a severely disadvantaged background, achieved far beyond her own expectations, ultimately graduating from Cambridge University. The founding trustees shared a passion in wanting others to benefit from a similar life-changing experience.

By providing mentoring and training to young people from underprivileged backgrounds, the Promise Foundation strives to undo barriers to education.

Students build relationships with local professionals and improve their work ethic, independent learning skills, school performance, and overall capacity for achievement and self-fulfilment.

The Promise Foundation’s vision is to improve self-esteem and to offer professional experiences not normally be available to such young people.

Since 2013, Promise Foundation has mentored hundreds of young people safely and successfully in three Brent schools, as well as inspiring our mentors to act collectively to better their communities.
